Admissions
At Lotus Academy, we are a specialist school supporting children and young people aged 7 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We understand how important it is to find the right school for your child, where they can feel safe, valued, understood and supported to succeed.
Our school operates across two sites, with a planned admission number of 119 pupils across the school. Our main school provides specialist SEMH provision, while places within our Hub are specifically designed to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, providing a supportive environment and approach tailored to their individual needs.
Admissions are considered through consultation with the Local Authority and are based on each pupil’s individual needs, as identified within their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). As part of this process, we carefully consider whether our provision, environment, curriculum and specialist support can meet the pupil’s identified needs and enable them to thrive.
Our ambition is for every pupil who joins Lotus Academy to become a confident and resilient individual who is empowered to succeed. Through a nurturing and supportive approach, we help pupils to communicate effectively, build healthy and positive relationships, develop confidence and independence, engage successfully with learning and take pride in their achievements as they prepare for a fulfilling future.
